Six promising investments, an enlarged team, a new office and good prospects for further development of activities for the industry of AI & Robotics, Fintech & Edutech, Medicine & Longevity, New Energy & Cleantech. That is the summary of 2019 in the Invento Capital fund.
Six promising companies that are currently developing innovative projects have found their way into the fund’s portfolio. For us, the key is that each of them from the beginning corresponds with the strategic principle of Invento Capital, which assumes that we invest and develop projects that have an impact and change the world around us.
Artificial intelligence in the service of education and development
One of the portfolio companies is Smartlife Robotics sp.z o.o., dealing with the development of artificial intelligence and using it in creating interactive, educational toys for children (including to learn foreign languages). The project is led by specialists with experience in the largest international ICT corporations (Samsung, IBM), scientists from SWPS and behaviorists.
Another project is development support for Ascorlab sp.z o.o. – a startup from the life-science industry. The aim of the project work will be to obtain full characteristics of the mucus secreted by the Cornu aspersum snail under stress conditions. An industry investor: Bogel Group is involved in the project. It is a leading Polish exporter of the most expensive caviar in the world, produced from snail eggs, and a team of scientists from the University of Silesia in Katowice.
In turn, Fire Fighter sp.z o.o.was established to create a specialized operational drone for fire units. The unmanned aircraft is to detect and monitor hazards, but also to extinguish the fire in a highly effective manner. The research and development project involves the development of existing technology produced by the company of multi-rotor platforms.
Cheap housing and investment risk management tools
Monethero sp.z o.o. was also included in the Invento Capital portfolio. having a blockchain-based fintech platform, providing working capital for the needs of trade, as well as Qvistorp S.A. being a Polish technological startup creating and commercializing an original IT system to support investment decisions of QVISTORP GROWTH. The subject of the project is to create a decision support tool based on multi-criteria analysis (MCDM) methods.
The last year’s project is the company Domus Tech sp.z o.o. In this case, research and development works related to the production of self-supporting laminated polyurethane sheets (“LPL board”) will be carried out. The goal is to develop materials and technologies for building cheap, light houses and public facilities.
In parallel, the Invento Capital fund in 2019 began preparations for the implementation of a project to build a cooperation platform with local and global partners. Its purpose is to integrate and activate the business, investment and startup environment in the Śląskie Voivodeship.
